NIVADOO RESORT SIGIRIYA

We had a very pleasant stay at NIVADOO. The room is clean, a bit on the small side but very cozy. The air conditioning works well. The bathroom was clean but the shower cabin could use some updating. The pool was large and clean. The staff was extremely friendly and helped us to arrange a transfer. We would recommend this location. The road to the hotel is about a hundred meters unpaved. If you want to visit Sigirya you will have to take a tuk tuk. A nice tip to eat outside the hotel is 'Big Bites', a small restaurant around the corner with delicious Sri Lankan dishes.

We had a fantastic stay at this resort! From the moment we arrived, the staff were incredibly kind and welcoming. Everyone was so warm-hearted and truly did everything they could to make us feel comfortable and at home. The rooms were clean and nice (and compared to other places we stayed at in Sri Lanka, the cleanliness here was absolutely outstanding). The whole resort is very well maintained, and we felt super safe and completely at ease throughout our stay. Anytime we needed something – whether it was new towels or a taxi – the team was there to help right away. They also gave us great advice for day trips and organised drivers for us. We also really enjoyed the food – breakfast was tasty and fresh, and we had dinner at the resort several times, which was always delicious with great service.

We have just finished an awesome stay at Nivadoo as part of our two week honeymoon in Sri Lanka. Just for context we are a 31 M and 30 F, this resort was perfect for exploring the ancient cities. We visited Sigriya, Polonnaruwa and Dambulla Caves/Temple from here and it was an awesome place to relax after a day doing stuff. The service was amazing, the team were so so lovely and it had abit of a family feel to the whole stay. I would definitely advise getting all 3 meals included, we found this to be excellent value for money and although there are some local restaurants Nivadoo is in a rural location.

This was our first stay in Sri Lanka and it was perfect! The staff were very friendly and helpful, a lovely welcome to our picture perfect large room, they arranged tuk-tuks & to near by Sigiriya Rock & Pidurangala Rock, plus other transport when needed, they are attentive hosts with food and drink orders, etc. The breakfast was lovely with freshly cooked omelettes, fresh fruit, and curries available. They would also be kind enough to ask how hot you like you other dishes so they are to your taste (we were ambitious first time, ha!). Very peaceful, it felt like we had the place to ourselves! Large pool and comfortable bed, great vegetable Curry. Very friendly staff! They helped us with arraging an elephant safari and transport. The dinner menu with the hotel room was just okay, basic food like soup, fried rice and a small desert - nothing fancy. Order from the seperate menu if you want something more special. Good value for the money! 😊
